The Salvation Army of McHenry County
Dear Friends:
We are excited to celebrate 20 years of service from our Crystal Lake Corps Community Center. It has been our privilege to serve the local community these past 20 years. While the Corps Community Center is 20 years old, we have actually served the McHenry County area much longer than 20 years through our Service Units. In fact we still operate Seven Service Units in McHenry County (in addition to the Corps Community Center) and we provide much needed emergency and disaster assistance throughout McHenry County.
While we could never replace the many services to area residents which are offered through the social service and relief programs offered by the government, we do work very hard to meet the emergency and disaster needs of area residents so that no one falls through the cracks.
Our work with area families includes a youth center for education, homework help, a computer lab, recreation center and gym programs (at our Crystal Lake Community Center); we also have weekly worship services, youth character building programs, Summer Camps for youth and families as well as music programming, Family Movie Night, Women's Ministries, Bible Study and s much more.
We also provide emergency and disaster assistance for residents of McHenry County at our eight assistance sites located throughout McHenry County and serving clients at the site nearest their home community. Whether the need is for emergecy food, shelter, utility assistance or clothing we assist families and individuals as long as our funding permits and the client(s) qualify.
For more information on the many types of emergency and disaster assistace we provide please select the heading on this website entitled, "Assistance Sites."
May God Bless You and Your Family.
