After School Assistance by The Salvation Army Puts Children on the Road to Academic Success

The Salvation Army Corps community center of Jackson stepped up to the plate this summer providing school supplies to children from families in need.

Now, the community center is gearing up to help students do well in school by providing them with hands-on assistance including tutoring, help with homework, computer training, character building, and more.

The Salvation Army believes children are a community's greatest resource, and Army officers, staff and volunteers work hard throughout the year to give all children -- especially children from impoverished neighborhoods -- tools to help them succeed in school.

Programs and services offered by The Salvation Army community center are designed to meet the specific needs of the community. For more information about our children's programs, please click here.
