Vision Statement
It is the vision of The Salvation Army of Coles County, Illinois,
to proclaim the love of our Lord Jesus Christ by actively
demonstrating high moral standards through our services
and community participation.
To educate and train in Christian Family values by creating
new opportunities through the development of new programs
and services. To provide specialized programs such as: life
skills, workshops, child raising/parenting classes with free child
care, support groups for young parents, single parents and the
elderly in the community.
To assure a wholesome atmosphere which discourages
violence and encourages love by expressing a Christ-like
attitude in all our endeavors. To challenge the community to
participate in the everyday operations of The Salvation Army,
both physically and financially through community awareness
projects.
To provide inspiring worship services through the use of visual
aides, drama, music, interesting and fresh sermons and most of
all uplifting prayer time. We will challenge our soldiers (members)
to take the lead to bring people into the fellowship and then direct them
in finding their spirituals gifts so they can contribute to our worship time.
To share the gift of eternal life through evangelism. To do the ministry
that every believer of Christ is asked to do which is to spread the Gospel. |
