After reassessing the needs of the community in Portage County, Salvation Army officials announce the closing of The Salvation Army Chapel in Portage County effective July 1, 2010. The Salvation Army will continue to focus on social services and offering regular Bible studies and worship services at the Hope Center Emergency/Temporary Shelter at 1600 Briggs St. Get more information.
