Dear Supporters,

Need has many faces. Whether it’s a hungry child, a single mother struggling to make ends meet, a man battling substance abuse issues or an elderly person overwhelmed with loneliness…need is a constant battle The Salvation Army has been waging for more than 125 years in Kansas City.

And that battle continues.  Over the past year, The Salvation Army has seen a significant increase in the number of individuals and families in crisis in our community. But The Salvation Army, with the help of its unflagging supporters, has risen up to meet the challenge head-on, with the goal of ensuring no one falls through the cracks.

As always, The Salvation Army strives to do the most good with your donations. One example is this year’s first-ever online annual report. Not only is it environmentally friendly, it saves thousands of dollars as well…dollars that be spent on services to help people.

It is my honor to serve as The Salvation Army’s Advisory Board Chair and I thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Larry Powell

Advisory Board Chairman
