Regeneration will be held the weekend of February 17-19th. This is President's Day weekend, so many of you may have the following Monday off of school or work.
It will take place at Camp Wonderland in Camp Lake, Wisconsin.
Cotton Presley is our special guest speaker for the weekend. Many of you will remember him from the 2011 CBLI Young Adult Community. He is a wonderful man of God and a powerful speaker.
Audrey Assad, a lovely and talented singer-songwriter, is our guest musician for Regeneration 2012! Truly this one-of-a-kind, intensely honest artist is able to open hearts to God through her gift of music. We are blessed to have her at this event.
The Singing Company is also going to be leading worship at the event. Be prepared to sing, loud and convincingly.
DJ Matt Roan is coming to hit the decks as we dance up a storm at our Regeneration Mixer on Friday night. Bring your dancing shoes, he'll bring the beat.
The theme is "Heaven" and we are going to explore what it means live as citizens of heaven in this world. We are all very excited about what the Lord will do at Regeneration 2012.
Regeneration is a conference for young adults. You must be between the ages of 18-29 (by 2/17/2012) to attend.
Only $40. Only $40? Yes, only $40. That's a real sweet deal, considering it includes: all housing, meals, fun, electricity, water, heat, T-shirt, places to sit or stand and interesting things to look at for the whole weekend.
Heck yes they can come! What a silly question. There will be housing for married couples and families with children. It's ok if your spouse is over 29 years old, just as one of you is between the ages of 18-29. Children between the ages of 0-4 can come at the cost of $20 per child.
Registration for this event is now available.

Cotton Presley lives in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He is a Vietnam veteran, a graduate of the University of Arkansas, president of Modern Fence & Supply Company for the past 36 years, and a board certified chaplain, volunteering both in a local hospital and as a Hospice chaplain.
Cotton met the Lord Jesus Christ in 1986, in the late, late stages of alcoholism/drug addiction. Shortly afterward, he met The Salvation Army while attending a 12 step meeting hosted at an Army facility.
Although he is known primarily as an expositor of Scripture, Cotton is still very active in a 12 step program, considering it a primary mission field to share experience, strength and hope through a teaching and mentoring ministry.
Over the years, Cotton's teaching ministry has been on a local, national, and international level, as well as ministering one on one with Christian leaders, both in and out of the Army. He serves as Corps Sergeant Major and Sunday School teacher at his local corps in Springdale, Arkansas.
He is married to the lovely and talented Rose Anna, with one son, a great daughter-in-law, and a wonderful granddaughter, Katie Marie.
Sola Deo Gloria!
Singer-songwriter Audrey Assad, a New York native, began her musical journey after relocating to Florida at the age of 18. It was there that the deeply spiritual Assad decided to focus all her energies on her faith. "When I started to fully understand the idea of surrendering my life—not just as a concept, but the daily hopes and dreams and disappointments-and giving that away to God," she says. "That's when I first started to realize He had gifted me with music."
Shortly after that spiritual epiphany, Audrey set aside the notion of pursuing an English degree or studying fashion design and began leading worship in the foyer of a church she didn't even attend. Standing by her lifelong conviction to "bloom where you're planted," she set out to do whatever God put in front of her that let her use her gifts. A flurry of local shows and worship events followed, resulting in a move to Nashville and a five song EP called Fireflies that drew the attention of Sparrow Records.
Assad continued to hone her craft, wrote songs for other performers and toured with Dove Award-winning artist Chris Tomlin. Her full-length debut for Sparrow, The House You're Building, arrived on July 13, 2010. The collection of piano-driven pop also contains plenty of worship, something that’s more than just a genre of music or something saved for Sunday mornings, it bleeds into every one of Audrey's live sets.
"Worship leading is a big part of what I do. If I'm not opening Believer's hearts, then I'm not doing what I want to do," she explains. "Of course, I want to evangelize and change people's lives, but really I just hope it opens them up a little bit more to God." For more info about Audrey, check out her website: www.audreyassad.com
Since their beginning in 2005, The Singing Company has created music to draw listeners in to the truths of God's Word, encourage and challenge the Church through relevant worship and expand the cannon of music produced by The Salvation Army.
Their songs have travelled around the world, have been translated into other languages and have taken on a life of their own. They hope that a new generation will be turned on to the truths found in old hymns and new worship; that the messages of these songs will help lead worshippers to action!
In April of 2011 they partnered with the band Families and released a new album, "Holy Week," which focuses on the daily accounts of the Holy Week story and reflects on God's love and invitation into His Kingdom. In 2008 they released "The Mercy Seat Sessions," a recording that dealt with the unique transformative experience that can be found at the mercy seat. In June 2006 they released their debut album, "The Red Book Sessions," which contained new arrangements of and melodies to old Salvation Army fight songs and completely original material.
Singing Company members include: Matt Erickson, Lemard Fields, Kirsten Gorton, Eric Himes, Nate Irvine, Jonathan Moe, Dave Shay and Enrique Villatoro. To hear more of their music and discover other available resources, please visit their website at www.thesingingcompany.com.
Chicago native DJ Matt Roan got his chops in the classically trained realm, studying piano, guitar and drums from the age of eight onward. Five indie records, a few stints at Lollapalooza and several club residencies later, his beat master prowess has surpassed the various DJs he watched in awe at the Chicago Puma store he once managed. By teasing partygoers with a carefully constructed wall of atmospheric choices from across the map-hip-hop, rock, or what Roan likes to call an "all-school format"-he keeps a very unexpected beat.
