TRANSLATORS- Individuals who will act as Hmong and Spanish volunteer translators
are critical in this process and if translators wish they can float to wherever
they are needed most.

VOLUNTEERS FOR COAT & TOY SORTING - November and December. Need volunteers for coat and toy sorting and distribution. Especially need volunteers who are willing to commit in assisting with these efforts on a regular part-time basis, Monday through Friday, Nov. through Dec. 22.
ADOPT-A-FAMILY GIFT DROP OFF - Monday, Dec. 15 - 10 AM to 5 PM and also ...Tuesday, Dec. 16 from 11 AM to 7:30 PM - Need 25 volunteers each shift that can bend and lift. Will remove gifts from vehicles into grocery carts and take them into building and unload. Need to wear outdoor clothing appropriate to weather conditions. Volunteers inside to process (matching donor label with adoptees' and place in designated areas).
DISTRIBUTION & ADOPT-A-FAMILY PICK UP - Dec. 18, 19 & 22 - Need approximately 100 volunteers per shift to assist families in choosing their gifts at the Christmas site. Some may assist in breaking down boxes, sorting gifts and replenishing tables as gift selections are depleted. Assist in loading gifts into vehicles, distributing turkeys and hams, etc. Shifts are 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. In addition, we will need volunteers who can bend and lift. Will help to remove gifts from designated areas, load into carts and unload into adoptee vehicles. Need to wear outdoor clothing appropriate to weather conditions and shoes with good traction.
LEAGUE OF MERCY (Nursing Home Visitation):
Visit local nursing homes to distribute gifts provided by the Salvation Army and a word of holiday cheer, provided by you!
