22nd Anniversary STAMP OUT HUNGER - May 10th

The nation's Largest Single-Day Food Drive; Helps the Increasing Number of Americans at Risk of Hunger

Will be held on May 10, the Campbell Soup Company will join forces with the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) to Stamp Out Hunger! across America in order to provide assistance to the rapidly increasing number of Americans who are struggling with hunger.

This is the 22nd Annual Stamp Out Hunger effort and is the nation's largest single-day food drive.  In 2013, drive organizers collected more than 70 million pounds of donated food which brought our grand total from more than two decades of collections to just under 1.3 billion pounds.

Last year's food drive provided 12 tons of donated food to help restock our food pantry here in the Fox Cities.

The economy might be recovering, but America’s hungry aren’t feeling it. According to national Food Drive partner Feeding America, 49 million Americans may not know where their next meal is coming from. This sad figure includes nearly 16 million children.

To help Stamp Out Hunger! this year, simply leave a sturdy bag containing non-perishable foods, such as canned soup, canned vegetables, pasta, rice or cereal next to your mailbox prior to the time of regular mail delivery on Saturday, May 10.

Food items should be in non-breakable containers, such as boxes and cans. The nation's 230,000 letter carriers will then collect the donations as they deliver the mail and take them to food banks and other hunger relief organizations in more than 10,000 local communities.
