CHILD SAFETY
All Salvation Army volunteers, youth leaders, and staffs members must take “Safe From Harm” training. Safe From Harm is a unique child safety program The Salvation Army has created to train all volunteers, youth leaders, staff members and anyone working with children and vulnerable adults. Anyone working with children must complete this training. Additionally, every volunteer must fill out a comprehensive application packet and undergo a background check. Being entrusted with the safety of a child is a serious responsibility. The Salvation Army does not take this responsibility lightly. This training equips volunteers with the tools and knowledge they need to respond if an incident or accident should occur.
