Year Round
Pantry Worker: Stocking shelves, assist clients in taking food to their cars, date incoming shipments for storage.
Grounds Keeper: Sweeping, mowing, raking, cleaning up trash around the grounds, washing windows, etc.
Car or Van Driver: Picking up before and dropping off after various church programs.
Youth Programs: Assist in leading youth programs-Girl Guards, Sunbeams, Adventure Corps, After School Kids, teaching Sunday School.
Licensed Beauitician's: Cutting and styling the hair of our clients.
Emergency Response Team: Preparedness in responding to disasters.
After School Kids Program: One on one tutoring, homework help and recreation.
Seasonal
Bell Ringing: Representing The Salvation Army at one of our kettle sites, ringing a bell and collecting donations, greeting people with a smile.
Toy Shop: Greeting clients, assisting clients in filling out applications, answering phones, guiding clients and other agency representatives through the Toy Shop to pick out toys, assist in keeping the toy shop stocked, cleaning the toy shop at the end of the season.
Christmas Outreach: Sorting food donations, packing food baskets, delivery of food baskets to shut-ins, assisting clients in taking their basket to their vehicle.
Angel Tree: Sitting at the Angel Tree table at the mall, handing out tags for gifts and collecting gifts once they have been purchased.
Other: There are many other opportunities to reach out a helping hand to someone in need. If you have any ideas, feel free to let us know.
