Area residents, church & school groups, service clubs and businesses are asked to consider being a part of this effort, by Adopting A Family through The Salvation Army's Christmas Outreach Office & Toy Shop. You may adopt a family by simply calling 269-963-3640 ext. 18 and committing your "gift" to bless a family in need. If you prefer, you can visit the clearing office at 400 Capital Avenue NE. "With the anxiety of layoffs and the ups and downs of the stock market, this is hitting people hard. That is why more than ever The Salvation Army needs your support. Families in larger numbers are turning to The Salvation Army for assistance. Please consider blessing a family this Christmas through The Salvation Army's Adopting a Family program." Major Thomas E. Riggs.
The Salvation Army has been providing Christmas food baskets and children's toys to the Battle Creek area continuously since 1905. The Outreach Center goes to great lengths to insure that our efforts are not duplicated using our computerized interview process and clearing all of our clients through 211. Partners in meeting the need include the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program, the Battle Creek Fire Department and all of our Angel Tree locations. The Salvation Army is also a Program Delivery Partner with the United Way.
The Salvation Army..."Doing The Most Good".
Please stop by anyone of our Angel Tree site locations, select a tag, purchase a gift for the age and sex of the child listed and return the unwrapped gift to the Angel Tree. If you would like to sponsor an Angel Tree site or have questions about the Angel Tree program, please contact Marcie Gothard, Development Director at 269-963-3640 ext. 17.
