The Housing Assessment Program (HAP) is Kent County's central clearinghouse for homeless persons. HAP is able to assist people with finding first month's rent/deposit and area resources to help alleviate homelessness rapidly, as well as temporary, emergency housing as needed. The HAP program also includes Case Management services to provide budgeting and life skills assistance in order to maintain housing.

Housing Support Services

Booth Family Services also provides short term support for persons through Housing Resource Specialists. These specialists provide consistent service in helping households to maintain or find housing utilizing a community-driven, strengths-based, case management model.
