Safe Harbor has been serving the less fortunate in McLean County since 1991 at 212 N. Roosevelt in Bloomington. The staff at Safe Harbor continually work with residents to help them overcome barriers and move toward self sufficiency. Residents receive shelter, two meals per day, access to laundry and shower facilities and case management services. Soon the shelter will operate out of a larger more efficient facility adjacent to The Salvation Army Corps Center on W. Washington St. in Bloomington. The new facility will offer additional social services and significantly increase resident capacity. The future of Safe Harbor depends on the success of the Red Shield Classic, and the generosity of donors like you.
