Bloomington, IL - The 2013 Coats for Kids Drive will kick off, today, October 1, 2013. The Salvation Army will be collecting coats for all ages, beginning October 1 and continuing through mid-January. Coat collection locations include: Midwest Fiber, 422 White Oak Road, Bloomington and The Salvation Army, 611 West Washington Street, Bloomington. OSF St Joseph Medical Center will host a drive from October 7 to December 30 at four different locations: the main entrance off of Washington Street, the Pharmacy entrance and Birthing Center Lobby at the main complex. Coats can also be dropped off at the Center for Health on Fort Jesse in Normal.
Walgreens has also partnered with The Salvation Army and will be accepting Coat, Hat and Glove donations at their Bloomington Normal Walgreens locations beginning October 1 through October 31.
Jim Soeldner, McLean County Board Member, will be conducting a Coats for Kids Drive within his district, District #2. Coats, Hats and Gloves can be dropped off at the following locations:

Ellsworth Methodist Church 10-12 pm

The distribution of these items will be at The Salvation Army Community Center located at 611 West Washington Street, Bloomington. Distribution dates and times are Monday - Thursday, 9 a.m. - 12 noon beginning Oct 1 and ending January 31.
