SAFE HARBOR VOLUNTEERS
You are invited to attend a Volunteer Orientation for
The Salvation Army's New Safe Harbor Shelter
When: January 12, 2009, 6:30 p.m.
Where: The Salvation Army Community Center
611 W. Washington Ave
(next to the new shelter)
Please join us as we get ready for the new Safe Harbor Shelter's grand opening.
If you are not able to attend, please send a representative from you group.
What you can expect from the orientation:
- Receive an overview of how the volunteer meal program will work at the new shelter
- An opportunity to ask questions and voice concerns
- Receive an overview of The Salvation Army's volunteer policy as it pertains to volunteer applications and background checks
- An opportunity to have a walking tour of the new shelter and the kitchen.
- Receive an overview of shelter and day center operations, including breakfast and lunch meals
On any given month, there are approximately 200 volunteers participating in the meal program. Without this support, we would not be able to provide the same quality service.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO THOSE IN NEED!
