Located at 602 North Ann Street in NE Columbia, The Salvation Army Harbor House is the only facility in Columbia, Missouri, that provides shelter to homeless
women, men, and families with children.
Professional staff provides quality services and programs in three main areas:
Emergency Shelter
Transitional Lodging
Community Lunch
Emergency Shelter
Residents receive emergency shelter and meals and may request a longer stay through the transitional housing program.
Transitional Housing
This transitional housing program provides services designed to help residents gain
the financial means and life skills necessary to achieve self-sufficiency.
Residents at Harbor House participate in one or more of the following programs:
Workers Program - assists residents who are capable of working.
Alternative Program - helps residents who are unable to work due to mental or physical disabilities.
Recovery Program - assists residents who are in recovery from addiction.

Men - 23 beds, Women - 14 beds
Families - 6 Family Rooms

Community Lunch
Lunch is served for residents of the community from 12 Noon to 1pm, daily. This program is designed to feed the hungry people in our community who otherwise would not have a nutritious meal. Over 6,000 meals were served in the Community Lunch Program last year.
Last year Harbor House served over 27,000 meals and provided more than 16,000 lodging nights.
