Monitors - Center of Hope Shelter

These positions are within a church-affiliated homeless shelter. The position maintains shelter security, performs clerical and reception duties, and provides general assistance to guests and shelter residents. Minimum starting pay is $8.34/hour. A High School diploma/GED certificate with one year work experience is required. A successful candidate must be a team player, self-starter, and perform well with minimum supervsion, while maintaining client confidentiality. Excellent communication, MS Word, and Excel computer skills are also required. Pease see pdf of job posting linked at the bottom of the page. This is an ongoing recruitment for substitutes until the positions are filled for the week-end positions.

SS/Pathway of Hope Case Manager - 20 Hours per week

We need a motivated a self-starter able to provide intake, assessment, and services to individuals seeking ESS assistance and manage Pathway of Hope (POH) services. These services may include assistance with food, utility bulls, rent or mortgage payments, transportation, clothing and furniture vouchers, prescriptions, and other needs as resources allow. POH client pre-screening and managing POH client goals are included. Manager must have knowledge of and ability to network with other community agencies, programs, and referral sources, and will supervise workers in the Food Pantry.

Qualifications include Bachelor's degree in human services field accompanied by at least one year work experience with some supervisory experience. A combination of training and work experience will be considered. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must, while maintaining confidentiality. Applicant must have working knowledge of computers, have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and must pass TSA MVR check. Minimum pay is $11.45/hour with pro-rated paid leave, and after one year, enrollment in a pension plan. Please attach résumé with application.
