First Lutheran Foundation Donation

On Thursday, January 6, 2011, Karen Nielson of the First Lutheran Foundation presented a $4,000 check to Captain R.C. Duskin of The Salvation Army - Eau Claire, WI.  The First Lutheran Foundation felt a calling to fulfill a couple needs within the community.  The organization had heard that The Salvation Army was in need of assistance with the Red Kettle Campaign since an intense snow storm closed the Red Kettles during one of the busiest shopping days of the year.

The First Lutheran Foundation also helped to raise money on behalf of a local church that was recently broken into.  The thief stole thousands of dollars, so of which was intended for an orphanage in Peru.

About the First Lutheran Foundation

Since its inception in 1985, the First Lutheran Foundation, Inc., has provided financial support to mission that complements the ministry of the congregation. The Foundation does not fund the regular ministry of First Lutheran Church; rather, the Foundation uses investment earnings to support initiatives beyond the ongoing ministry of the congregation such as senior housing, college scholarships, foreign mission, capital improvements to the church, cab rides for seniors, Luther Park Bible Camp, and much, much more.

The First Lutheran Foundation is dedicated to encouraging members and friends of the congregation to be good stewards with their lifetime assets and provides free professional consultation through Gift Planning Services.
