Holiday Assistance for Families & Children The Salvation Army's Christmas Assistance program is intended to help Genesee County families who would otherwise be unable to celebrate the Holiday Season.  Christmas assistance includes:    Winter Coats, Toys for Children (up to 14 years old) and/or a Holiday Meal For information and required documentation, please click here!

Help Keep a Child Warm This Winter! When cleaning out your closets this fall, please consider helping a child in need by donating a new or gently used coat to Coats for Kids.  Collection boxes are located in Genesee County at Genesee Valley Center (JC Penneys inside entrance), Courtland Mall (food court), Absolutely the Best Cleaners at 3607 Beecher Road, FedEx Kinkos at 3170 S. Linden Road and The Salvation Army in downtown Flint at 211 W. Kearsley Street. Last year, almost 2,000 children in Genesee County received coats to protect them from our harsh winter weather.

Calling All Volunteers! Ringing bells at The Salvation Army's Red Kettles is one of the simplest ways you can volunteer and give of yourself during the holidays - either on your own, with your family or as part of group.  Help fill our Red Kettles and ring in Christmas for our community!
