The International College for Officers

The International College for Officers is situated in the south east part of London in Sydenham Hill and run by principal Commissioner Margaret Sutherland along with a staff of nine.

The college opened its doors in 1905 after Commissioner Henry T. Howard presented the need to William Booth for "leaders inspired with the aggressive spirit of Salvationism," and a building was supplied in 1950 when General Albert Osborn declared the training to be "an investment in the great intangibles without which our cogs and wheels would soon be rusty and dead."
