& TOBACCO OUTLET PLUS STORES & HEARTY PLATTER TO HOST DONATION DRIVE TO
SUPPORT THE SALVATION ARMY'S RED KETTLE CAMPAIGN
LA CROSSE, WI. — (November 25, 2013) Kwik Trip and Tobacco Outlet Plus stores and Hearty Platter restaurants in Wisconsin are hosting their second annual coin canister donation drive to support The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign. Wisconsin area residents and businesses can make monetary donations to any Kwik Trip or Tobacco Outlet Plus store or any Hearty Platter restaurant during our month-long campaign starting Wednesday, November 27th and running through Christmas Eve, December 24th.
“All Kwik Trip and Tobacco Outlet Plus stores and Hearty Platter restaurants are proud to support the local Salvation Army programs and services in the communities we serve in Wisconsin and help make a positive difference in the lives of those individuals and families in need of assistance. We encourage our co-workers and store guests to support this campaign so that we can work together to boost the spirits of the people and communities we are fortunate to serve,” said Kwik Trip’s Community Relations Coordinator, Dave Ring.
All monies raised at each store and restaurant will remain in those communities and help support the individuals and families served by The Salvation Army. Kwik Trip is hosting its annual coin canister donation drive to support The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa where residents and businesses will find designated Salvation Army coin canisters on the counters of all of our stores.
About The Salvation Army
The Salvation Army, an evangelical part of the universal Christian church, has been supporting those in need in His name without discrimination since 1865. Nearly 33 million Americans receive assistance from The Salvation Army each year through the broadest array of social services that range from providing food for the hungry, relief for disaster victims, assistance for the disabled, outreach to the elderly and ill, clothing and shelter to the homeless and opportunities for underprivileged children. Nationally, approximately 84 cents of every dollar raised is used to support those services in nearly 9,000 communities nationwide. For more information, go to www.SAmilwaukee.org.
