GOLD COIN DONATED IN RED
KETTLE
THERE'S STILL TIME TO HELP THE SALVATION ARMY REACH
CHRISTMAS GOAL
Wauwatosa, WI (December 29,
2011) The Salvation Army of Milwaukee County
is just over 80% of the
$2.7M 2011 Christmas Campaign goal, donations to
date total $2,172,105.
An anonymous donor dropped a gold coin worth $900
in one of the Red
Kettles in Milwaukee County. Although the traditional
Red Kettles will
not be seen or heard again until next Christmas,
Milwaukee residents
still have until the end of January 2012 to give by
mailing a check or
giving on-line at http://www.SAmilwaukee.org. The Christmas
Campaign ends
Tuesday, January 31, 2012.
"We're thankful for the donations we
have received to date. Reaching our
Red Kettle Christmas goal is critical
to providing much needed shelter for
the homeless, food for the hungry
and emergency assistance for families in
great need," said Major Roger
Ross, Salvation Army Milwaukee County
Commander.
Eighty-four
cents of every dollar donated helps to sustain year round
critical
programs and services including emergency shelter for homeless
families,
food, clothing and disaster services.
Donations can be made on line
at http://www.SAmilwaukee.org or by mailing your
donation
to: The Salvation Army, 11315 W. Watertown Plank Rd, Wauwatosa,
WI 53226.

About The Salvation Army:
The Salvation Army, an evangelical part of the universal Christian church,
has been supporting those in need in His name without discrimination
since
1865. Nearly 33 million Americans receive assistance from The
Salvation
Army each year through the broadest array of social services
that range
from providing food for the hungry, relief for disaster
victims,
assistance for the disabled, outreach to the elderly and ill,
clothing and
shelter to the homeless and opportunities for
underprivileged children.
Nationally, approximately 84 cents of every
dollar raised is used to
support those services in nearly 9,000
communities nationwide. For more
