KETTLE CHRISTMAS CAMPAIGN SURPASSES $2.7M GOAL

Wauwatosa, WI (Wednesday,
February 1, 2012) The Salvation Army of Milwaukee County has surpassed its
Annual Christmas Campaign goal of $2.7 million dollars, receiving generous
donations totaling $2.9 million dollars.
“We are extremely
grateful to Milwaukee County for the outpouring support of donations to meet
and surpass our 2011 Red Kettle Christmas Campaign,” said Major Roger
Ross, Salvation Army Milwaukee County Commander.
“Contributions made during our annual Christmas Campaign will ensure
critical needs of the unemployed, underemployed, homeless and others who often
remain over looked are met,” continued Ross.
84 cents of every
dollar donated will sustain year round vital programs and services such as
emergency shelter, food and clothing. Here in Milwaukee County, The
Salvation Army operates 85 programs. Those programs and services included
but are not limited to disaster relief, utility & rent assistance,
employment services and summer lunch programs for children.
