Intensive Rehabilitation Unit

IRU is a highly structured in-patient program that provides the fundamentals of overcoming alcohol and substance abuse through a 12-step curriculum.  It seeks spiritual awakening and lasting behavioral change through personalized treatment services. 

In addition to the 25 hours per week of total treatment, clients participate in daily chores, group therapy, therapeutic videos, recreation, and individual sessions with their counselor.

Who is eligible?  Males age 18 or older who have been screened by Harbor Light as meeting the ASAM criteria.

What are the expectations of clients in IRU?

  • Attend all AA/NA meetings at Harbor Light (5)
  • Attend all programming
  • Follow the rules
  • Stay sober
