FOOD DONATIONS ARE NEEDED
FOOD PANTRY- Donations of canned goods, dry goods, dairy, produce, fresh meat and personal care items are always needed to keep our shelves stocked for the thousands of people who desperatly need this vital service. Donations can be brought in any day of the week during office hours 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. If you are in need of food assistance, please call to schedule an appointment with our Case Worker 517-437-4240 ext 102. Pantry hours are Mon & Wed by appointment 1:00-3:00 pm. Walk in pantry hours are Fridays 1:00-3:00 pm, as time allows. Clients can receive pantry services once every 60 days.
FREE LUNCH PROGRAM- Area businesses that serve, sell or process foods can donate food to the free lunch program. Many families and individuals come to The Salvation Army Tuesday through Friday to recieve a hot nutritional meal. The free lunch program is open Tues, Wed, Thurs and Fri. serving from 12:00-1:00pm. Everyone is welcome to come share a meal with us.
FRESH FOOD INITIATIVE- FRESH PRODUCE, DAIRY and other grocery items can be donated to the fresh food inititiatve and then every Tuesday morning families are provided with the nutritional items. Please bring donations on Tuesday mornings between 8:00 and 9:00 am. Fresh Food Initiative distribution is from 9:30-11:30 am on Tuesdays for anyone in need of food assistance on a weekly basis, must show ID and be a Hillsdale County Resident.
VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED
VOLUNTEER- Volunteers are need to support several programs including the food pantry, free lunch program, fresh food initiative, family store, bell ringing--November-December and much more. OTHER WAYS YOU CAN HELP
Household Goods Donations - Donations of goods (i.e. clothing, furniture, electronics, etc.) can also be made to our Family Store at 2950 West Carlton Rd in Hillsdale between 10:00am and 7:00pm.
Create an On-line Red Kettle - Raise money to help out your community. Register yourself, your family, group or business. Set a fundraising goal and add your own personal message. Invite your friends, family, and co-workers to donate to your on-line kettle. Go to
