The Salvation Army to Pack 600 Baskets in Under 20 Minutes
November 22, 2010 - Working to beat the standing record of 18 minutes and 32 seconds, volunteers will gather tonight at The Salvation Army to pack over 600 Thanksgiving Baskets. The Salvation Army hopes to beat the production record once again this year. Last year, volunteers cut the packing time by over 10 minutes; the previous record was 28 minutes and 37 seconds.

The Salvation Army Packs over 620,000 meals for Haiti Relief
Tuesday, June 22, 2010 - The Salvation Army and over 2,000 volunteers partnered to package 620,784 meals for Haiti Relief at the Wanna Make A Million event this past weekend. Packaging all of the meals in under 16 hours, the volunteers surpassed the totals of recent meal packing events in Kansas City and Chicago.

Kalamazoo Receives Over 16,000 Pounds of Food
May 13, 2009 - The Salvation Army was one of the community recipients for the National Association of Letter Carriers Food Drive, which took place on Saturday, May 9, 2009. Volunteers assembled at the Parchment Post Office to help sort and pack the 16,000 pounds of food received that day, the largest amount of food ever received by The Salvation Army. The food collected will stock the Emergency Food Pantry at The Salvation Army, which distributes emergency food baskets to families and individuals in need.
