URGENT NEED FOR COATS
With its coat distribution only a week away, The Salvation Army has collected 119 coats out of the anticipated 1,500 coats needed. The Salvation Army annually distributes coats to 1,500 individuals through its Share the Warmth Coat Drive - a need which cannot be filled this year unless enough coat donations come in before Monday, November 9, 2009.
The Share the Warmth Coat Drive, sponsored by WWMT 3 and other local business partners, hopes to provide families in need with warm coats for the winter season. The Salvation Army will accept donations of new or gently used coats for adults and children, of any style or size, but its greatest need is for children's coats.
Donations may be brought to The Salvation Army at 1700 S. Burdick Street in Kalamazoo or to any of the following drop-off locations:
WWMT 3 - Maple Street
Don Seelye Ford - Stadium Drive|
