The Salvation Army Kalamazoo Social Services Department is dedicated to serving the local community with a variety of services. Seeking to spread the love of Christ throughout the community, our caseworkers strive to have their hearts to God and their hands to man.
Services include:
Utility Assistance
The Salvation Army provides emergency utility assistance for electric, gas, and water shut-offs. Clients must have received a shut-off notice and have been referred to the Salvation Army by DHS.
Pantry Assistance
The Salvation Army assists with food, personal items, infant needs, and clothing, as provided by its pantry and community donations. Clients may either be self-referred or referred by other social service agencies.
Disaster Relief
Disaster relief is provided to those families affected by flooding, tornados, fire, or other disasters. Relief often includes clean-up kits and bedding for victims.
