On behalf of those we serve we would like to say, "Thank You!" for your support during our Christmas Fund Raising campaign. We not only reached our goal ($230,000), but exceeded it by $16,268. Our grand total for the campaign is $246,268.
Thank you to everyone who mailed their contribution, made an on-line donation and/or put money in one of the red kettles. Your support enables us to continue to meet needs throughout Kenosha County.
Hope for Families
This year the Wisconsin / Northern IL Chapter of the American Fence Association wanted to help out a community here in Wisconsin. On December 16th 2011, Kevin and Rita Soens, Aluminum Fence Corporation, presented on behalf of the WI / N. IL Chapter of the AFA, Captain Moore of The Salvation Army in Kenosha, a check for $1,000.00.
The Chapter decided that The Salvation Army would be a good choice for the donation due to all the needs that they accommodate. With so many families struggling today they felt this would give hope to those in need. They felt that The Salvation Army would allocate the funds as the needs arise.
"We like to see things go local vs. national, then you know and see where the funds are going." Dennis Simmons, Simmons Fence, Janesville, WI. The WI/N. IL Chapter would like to thank The Salvation Army for all their efforts in serving the families of the communities we live in.
