Back-to-School Shopping Spree 05/08/2010
On Tuesday, August 10th, 75 Lincoln children in need will visit area Target stores and purchase backpacks, calculators, pens and pencils, art supplies, binders, clothing, and other must-have supplies in time for back to school.
The Salvation Army and Target have partnered to help 12,000 students grades K-12 across the country. Each child, identified and selected by The Salvation Army, will be awarded an $80 Target GiftCard and will shop the morning of August 10th.
75 volunteers from the Lincoln community will be matched with a child in need and together to get ready for back to school. All students have been selected, and our volunteer spots have been filled. If you would like to be added to the waiting list, or for other ways to help The Salvation Army, please call 474-6263.
