The economic downturn that has rocked our nation continues to have an effect on our community. The results of these difficult times are acutely felt by those who seek assistance from organizations like the Salvation Army.
In the first quarter of this year alone, the Salvation Army saw a 38 percent increase in requests for services from our Food Pantry and the Daily Bread Lunch program. Click here to read the rest of this letter to the editor of The Mining Journal.
