METRO YOUTH BAND & METRO PREP BAND

All MYGA participants must:
+ Be at least 12 years of age (8 years & up for Prep Band)
+ Actively attend a Salvation Army corps and/or LTMB Music Program *
+ Be recommended/endorsed by their corps officer
+ Be able to attend at least 5 of the 6 MYGA rehearsals and the MYGA Retreat

NOTE: Additional absences due to illness or emergency will also be excused. In certain circumstances, participation in special events and distribution of parts/solos may be affected because of attendance even if it is within this guideline

* Preference will be given to musicians from corps within the Metropolitan Division

Additional Eligibility Requirements

 METRO YOUTH BAND
+ Must be able to play American Instrumental Ensemble Series (AIES or ABES) Level III
+ Recommendation of corps officer, bandmaster, instructor and/or Divisional Music & Gospel Arts staff

METRO PREPARATORY BAND
+ Must be 8 years of age or older
+ Must be actively participating in a Salvation Army music program in the Metropolitan Division
+ Recommendation of corps officer and/or Divisional Music & Gospel Arts staff
