Who is eligible to participate in MYGA?
- All members of MYGA must:
- Be at least 12 years of age or older (at least 8 years of age for Prep Band and Praise Band Prep)
- Actively attend a Salvation Army corps and/or LTMB Music Program *
- Be recommended/endorsed by their corps officer for involvement in these groups
- Be able to attend at least 5 of the 6 MYGA rehearsals & the MYGA Retreat
- Additional absences due to illness or emergency will also be excused
- NOTE: In certain circumstances participation in special events and distribution of parts/solos may be affected because of attendance even if it is within this guideline
* Preference will be given to musicians from corps within the Metropolitan Division.

Metro Youth Chorus

- Must be able to play American Instrumental Ensemble Series (AIES or ABES) Level III
- Recommendation of corps officer, bandmaster, instructor and/or Divisional Music & Gospel Arts staff
|
- Must be 8 years or older
- Must be actively participating in a Salvation Army music program in the Metropolitan Division
- Recommendation of corps officer and/or Divisional Music & Gospel Arts staff
|
- Must be willing to sing
- Ability to read music is not a prerequisite, but must be willing to learn.
- Interested piano accompanists are also encouraged to join (as well as bass & drums)

- Able to get to scheduled rehearsals outside of MYGA Saturdays
- Proficiency on instrument (guitar, bass, drums/percussion, guitar, keyboard, vocal)
- Responsible for providing own instrument/equipment
- Group is limited in size
- Entrance determined by interview/audition
|
- Must be willing to speak alone or in groups in front of crowds
|
