TWO DATES LEFT TO SEE TINKER RING BELLS FOR THE SALVATION ARMY

Wauwatosa, WI (December 10, 2012)  Tinker the miniature horse returns to ring bells for The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign.  “I think Tinker is always excited to do his share to help bring hope to families in need.  Families, especially children, love seeing Tinker ring bells and so do we,” said Major Roger Ross, Salvation Army Milwaukee County Commander.

“We train all summer and Tinker loves ringing bells for The Salvation Army,” said Carol Takacs, Tinker’s owner.

Tinker will be ringing bells at the following locations:

Sat. Dec. 22                Cabela’s 10:00-Noon
                        1 Cabela Way
                        Richfield, WI

Christmas Eve                West Bend Pick ‘n Save  9:00-Noon
                        1629 S. Main St.
                        West Bend, WI

About The Salvation Army:

The Salvation Army, an evangelical part of the universal Christian church, has been supporting those in need in His name without discrimination since 1865. Nearly 33 million Americans receive assistance from The Salvation Army each year through the broadest array of social services that range from providing food for the hungry, relief for disaster victims, assistance for the disabled, outreach to the elderly and ill, clothing and shelter to the homeless and opportunities for underprivileged children. Nationally, approximately 84 cents of every dollar raised is used to support those services in nearly 9,000 communities nationwide. For more information, go to www.SAmilwaukee.org.
