While talking about how much Jesus loves all the children of the world, a 4th grade Sunday school teacher mentioned how The Salvation Army has children’s homes that protect children in foreign countries. The 4th graders were intrigued and decided to donate their allowances in order to sponsor a children’s home.
After visiting a Salvation Army girls' hostel in India, a husband and wife made a prayerful long-term commitment to sponsor the home financially on a yearly basis and prayerfully on a daily basis
Though he had moved to U.S. as a young boy, this man’s heart still beat for the less-fortunate in his homeland. He was a college student and had little money, yet he knew he had so much more than many people around the world. It hardly seemed like a sacrifice to give $25 a month to help a Salvation Army children’s home in Korea.
Every Christmas a women’s group holds a special tea. All proceeds from the tea go toward sponsoring children. The first year the group raised enough money for four sponsorships. Now, it’s 10!
