Greene & Christian County residents are encouraged to apply!
Springfield MO (October 30, 2012) - Residents living in Greene & Christian counties that need Christmas assistance are encouraged to contact The Salvation Army.
Greene & Christian county residents may apply for assistance December 3rd until December 14th; Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. & on Monday evenings from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. The Salvation Army is located at 1707 W. Chestnut Expressway in Springfield.
Available assistance includes toys and winter weather accessories for children, blankets for senior citizens and food to make a Christmas meal.
Those who would like to apply must bring a picture ID, an original social security card for each member of the household, proof of income and proof of residency such as a piece of mail that was received during the last six months.
