EMERGENCY FOOD PANTRY
DONATIONS NEEDED!
Nonperishable food items urgently needed!
Branson MO (March 8, 2013) - The Salvation Army's Emergency Food Pantry urgently needs nonperishable food donations.
Each month, approximately one hundred Branson-area families turn to The Salvation Army's Emergency Food Pantry for assistance feeding themselves or their loved ones.
"If you are fortunate to have enough, or perhaps even more than enough, in your own pantry at home we hope that you might think of those in our community who are not so fortunate and consider making a donation to help us continue to help them," Major Robert Meyer, Branson Corps Officer, said.
Donations received during the annual Food Harvest Food Drive helped restock the Branson Corps' food pantry for several months, but due to increased demand those donations are now almost gone, Major Meyer said.
Suggested nonperishable food donations include breakfast cereals, boxed dinners, pasta & pasta sauces, canned soups, paper products, canned meats, peanut butter & jelly, baby food, and canned vegetables & fruits
Nonperishable food items can be taken directly to the Branson Corps located at 1114 Stanley Blvd. For more information on how to help The Salvation Army's Branson Corps, hosting a food drive or other ways to help please call (417) 399-4434.
To support The Salvation Army Ozark Area Coordination by making a monetary donation please mail checks to: The Salvation Army P.O. Box 9685 Springfield MO 65801-9685, or call 1-800-SAL-ARMY.
