THE SALVATION ARMY ASSISTS INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES WITH

WINTERWEAR, BLANKETS, FOOD AND TOYS FOR CHRISTMAS

EVENT DATE: December 23, 2008

The Salvation Army will assist 2,233 individuals with winter wear, blankets, food and toys for Christmas from 9:00 am-4:00 pm on Tuesday, December 23 at 1707 W. Chestnut Expressway.  Approximately 120 volunteers will assist The Salvation Army with their Christmas distribution.   Volunteers will take the parent through the shopping process helping them with their selection. 

The Salvation Army is at 85% of their $525,000.00 goal.    "Even though we have only two days left before the kettles are pulled, we would like to encourage everyone to please continue to mail in their donations to The Salvation Army at P.O. Box 9685, Springfield, MO  65801, said Major Grainger.  "Reaching our goal is crucial to our year round programs."
