THE SALVATION ARMY DISASTER CANTEEN RESPONDS
TO ICE STORM POWER OUTAGE IN POPLAR BLUFF
The Springfield Salvation Army responds to Poplar Bluff residents who are without electricity. The winter ice storm has knocked out electricity for 80% of its residents. The Salvation Army canteen is being sent to Poplar Bluff today, Thursday, January 29 to serve meals to residents and responders and provide assistance where needed. Richard Myers, Disaster Services Coordinator for the Springfield area will be in charge of the canteen feeding.
No request for material items have been received at this time. If you wish to help you can send your donation to The Salvation Army at P.O. Box 9685, Springfield, MO 65801 with an ice storm disaster notation on your check and the funds will be utilized accordingly. For additional information you can contact The Salvation Army at 862-5509.
