Many people have lost more than faith. "Americans who have lost their jobs are finding it hard to get re-employed," Major Grainger observes. "Layoffs and downsizing have created new waves of homeless people as well as families who can't afford food and utilities. The least fortunate among us are still struggling. They need our help. For them, we are reaching out to our friends, asking for gifts of support."
