2014 COUNSELOR INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
Do you like caring for children? Do you enjoy playing games and team sports? Are you a high-school aged student who wants to make a difference?
If so then consider becoming a Counselor Intern for The Salvation Army's 2014 Summer Day Camp program!
This volunteer leadership training program provides youth with an overview of the counseling profession and gives them hands-on experience in assisting with creating Summer Day Camp programming. All Counselor Interns are supervised by trained Salvation Army staff counselors.
Qualified applicants must be responsible, enthuastic, and have a positive attitude! They must also practice excellent leadership skills and be willing to be a postive role model for the Summer Day Camp participants.
Applications for the 2013 Counselor Internship program are available at The Salvation Army located at 1707 W. Chestnut Expressway and online. Applications are due May 1, 2014; only completed applications, accompanied with two references from non-family members will be considered.
There is no cost for students accepted into the Counselor Internship program. All meals, field trips, and staff apparel are provided for by The Salvation Army.
