2013 Tree of Lights Christmas Caampaign

Your donations matter...More than you may know!

When you donate to The Salvation Army you're helping your local neighbors in need right here in the Ozarks - not just during the holidays, but all year long. You're helping struggling families provide food for their children, you're helping shelter a homeless individual who has nowhere else to go, you're helping a senior citizen know they're not forgotten... and much more.

Last year, with community support The Salvation Army was able to help more than 21,000 local Ozarks residents. Available assistance includes an emergency food pantry, housing & shelter, daily feeding programs, as well as safe & affordable programs for children & senior citizens.

  • From Mary, who currently lives at The Salvation Army's Family Enrichment Center with her children..."Hope is exactly what The Salvation Army gives people. Hope that there is a better place to be as well as better people to be around. Myself as a single mother I find I struggle to deal with daily. My children and I are currently residing at the Family Enrichment Center & it is helping us in many ways." The Family Enrichment Center, or FEC, is a housing program for formerly homeless families.

Help us help others  Help us help others  Help us help others

  • Your donations matter to Dave and Monica - a young couple that received rental assistance & food through The Salvation Army's Emergency Food Pantry. This year Monica & Dave faced both emotional and financial difficulty when Dave became disabled. The couple said they struggled to find adequate community resources to meet their immediate needs, but found help at The Salvation Army's Emergency Social Services Office.

Each year, hundreds of local families that need help providing mearly a few toys and a nutritious meal for their children on Christmas day turn to The Salvation Army for help...without this assistance it's likely that many of them simply would go without.

  • A thank you note from a family that received Christmas assistance last year...Dear Salvation Army, Thank you so much for the Christmas gifts for my children and the new hat and gloves!  I can't begin to tell you how much it meant to my children.  I wish you could have seen the smile on their faces.  And thank you for the wonderful food basket with all that food. - Dawn

If you're fortunate to be able to make a donation The Salvation Army, and those that we help, hope that you will do so. Whether it's an in-kind donation such as toys for underprivileged children, a financial donation to help provide food baskets for families or a donation of time through volunteering -all donations are greatly appreciated and allow The Salvation Army to keep doing the most good for the most people right here in the Ozarks.

  • A note from a Salvation Army donor ..."I'm enclosing a check for $50.00.  I want this donation to provide food baskets for families who might not otherwise have enough food for a Christmas dinner.  I'm fortunate that God has blessed me well financially this year and I think the Lord would want me to share with others who are less fortunate.  May God richly bless you and yours this Christmas season and may he continue to be with you in helping our neighbors who are less fortunate." - Ron & Joyce
