Community Meals Volunteer
The Salvation Army needs volunteers to assist with the Community Meals Program. Meals are served Monday through Friday from 11:00a.m. - 12:20p.m. and Tuesday nights for the dinner meal from 4:30p.m. - 5:30p.m
Lunch volunteers are most needed from 8:30a.m. - 1:00p.m. to assist with preparation, set up, serving, and clean up. Volunteers will directly work with the Kitchen supervisor Zahra Shafiei-Stattakeh and with clients. There is a great deal of flexibility regarding hours for volunteers availability.
The Salvation Army provides a hot dinner Tuesday evenings. The dinner time volunteers assist with the same tasks as the lunch time volunteers. Again volunteers are need to help set-up, to help serve the meal, to help with dishes, and to help with final clean-up of the tables, floors, and dishes. For the dinner shift, volunteers typically are needed from 3:30p.m. - 6:00p.m. Again hours depend upon a volunteer's availability.
