Caring Partners Adult Day Program
Caring Partners Adult Day Program is a licensed day care program for adults who need some assistance with daily living. Open Monday through Friday from 8AM to 4PM, Caring Partners mission is:
To increase the quality of life for adults physically and mentally challenged through a supportive day program, promoting independence and empowering each individual to remain in a community environment.
Caring Partners is located on the 2nd floor of the Rochester Salvation Army Corps Community Center at 20 NE 1st Ave. Staff includes a Registered Nurse, Licensed Social Worker, Activities Coordinator, Personal Care Attendants, and Activity Assistants. Current Staff to Participant ratio is 1:5.
Caring Partners also works closely with the participants, the primary care giver, and the participant's physician to meet the social and physical needs of each participant.
Caring Partners is an affordable program with support from the United Way of Olmsted County and other donors. Alternative sources of payment are accepted, including Veterans Administration, County Waiver Programs, and Long-term Care insurance. The daily fee includes transportation to and from the center if needed, two snacks, lunch, and all activities. Assistance with showers is an extra fee which may be covered by the participant's funding source.
Daily activities include:
-- Range of Motion exercises developed by a physical therapist
-- Individual and group activities
-- Current Events
-- Field Trips
