Fill The Truck
Hosting a "Fill The Truck" event is so easy and can make a great contribution to your community! Just choose a date/time for the truck(s) to show up at your specified location and we will collect donated items for The Salvation Army Thrift Store.
Did you know that all profits support community programs helping those most in need? Most people don't realize how donating unused clothes, household goods, and furniture can translate into dollars for food and shelter for someone who needs that assistance. The Thrift Store is able to take a wide variety of material donations - even unusable clothing and shoes! For example, unusable shoes can be sold to wholesale vendors for 10 cents a pound!
Who Can Participate?
- Churches
- Businesses
- Schools
- Service Clubs
- Neighborhoods (hold this instead of a local garage sale!)

- Choose an event date
- Promote the event within your group
- Provide support volunteers on the day of the event (optional)
- The Salvation Army truck will be parked where you would like and staff will be there to assist with donation reception
