The vision of the Sheboygan Area Salvation Army is to join with the community, as agents of hope, to enhance comprehensive, Christ-centered services that promote self-sufficiency.
Dear Friends,
The Salvation Army of Sheboygan County has been effectively and compassionately serving the needs of the homeless and the poor in our community since 1895. As this economy worsens, The Salvation Army plays an even more significant role in the lives of families, youth and children who are at risk in the Sheboygan area. The Salvation Army has a plan to address these urgent challenges by building a new emergency shelter and free clinic and updating its inefficient food pantry by launching its "Agents of Hope... Building Compassion" capital campaign.
We are honored to serve as the co-chairs for this campaign because we believe that the plight of Sheboygan County's less fortunate is not only gut wrenching, but is also a mirror reflecting the health and well-being of the entire county. The issues that this campaign will address and help to rectify will demonstrate how we measure up assisting the poor, the sick and the displaced. Many community leaders have joined us and are pledging their support of the campaign by working to assure that its truly worthwhile goals are met.
Please consider a pledge to the "Agents of Hope...Building Compassion" cause. We know that your gift to this campaign will be especially meaningful because The Salvation Army is providing services to people who are deserving of our support. All of Sheboygan County, the place we choose to call home, will benefit by your caring.
Sincerely,
Barbara N. Knauf, Richard A. Bemis, & Janice R. Homiston
