Commanding Officer
Major Alan Hellstrom

Commissioned in 1990 from the College for Officer Training, Major Hellstrom and his wife Kim, are in their third appointment. Major Hellstrom is a second generation officer who follows in the footsteps of his parents. The Major holds a degree in Law Enforcement from Kellogg Community College in Battle Creek, Michigan. The Major was born in Nebraska and lived most of his life in Michigan. He enjoys collecting presidential memorabilia and visiting antique stores.
The Major follows and leads the Salvation Army mission by holding the Executive Director position of the Social Services division at the Sheboygan Salvation Army Corp. He shares his ministry with his wife, Major Kim Hellstrom and their God's calling extends to their Salvation Army Congregation and the community youth and to families and individuals who come to The Salvation Army for social services and are in great need of spiritual counseling. The Majors have two beautiful daughters, one of which will attend The Salvation Army officer training this fall, the Major is an avid piano and cornet player.

Major Kim Hellstrom

Commissioned in 1990 and holding a degree in Practical Ministries from Olivet Nazarene College, Major Kim Hellstrom follows The Salvation Army's Christian mission. She leads the Women's Ministries, the extensive Youth Programs, and the League of Mercy Program. The Major goes on pastoral visits, consoles the bereaved, and counsels individuals and families in spiritual crisis.
Major Hellstrom was born in Chicago and met her husband, Major Alan Hellstrom, in Kalamazoo, Michigan where they married in 1984. Leading by religious example and partnering with her Husband, Major Alan Hellstrom, Major Kim Hellstrom enjoys her two daughters one of who will be attending The Salvation Army officer training college in the fall.
