The Anti-trafficking Rescue Center - Malawi

The ethos of the centre is that the children rescued spend around 3 months at the centre, receiving counseling, and attending school. During this time, their home community is visited, and any family counseled, to try to reconnect the child with his/her home village, so that the child has cultural and community roots. The centre is in need of funding for the day-to-day running of the centre: food, clothes, school materials, as well as payment of staff. They also want to start income generating projects. They have talked of pig rearing, chicken farming, vegetable growing, things which would both assist the centre, but also help teach the youngsters skills for life.
