                                             VETERANS HAVEN OF HOPE HOUSE

Heart to God, Hand to Man

The Salvation Army of Washtenaw County's Veterans Program works jointly with the Veteran Affairs Ann Arbor Homeless Outreach to offer a wide range of programming to the veterans who have served their country. Through this two-year transitional housing program, which began in 2005, up to 11 veterans can be housed at one time.

Goals:

  • To assist each veteran with transitioning back into mainstream society as a self-sufficient individual
  • To live in harmony
  • To maintain a house of purity
  • To reach out to the community as men of honor

Services Provided:

  • Free housing
  • Individualized case work services
  • Weekly meetings with caseworkers

Veteran Activities:

  • Working or seeking employment
  • Continuing education
  • Volunteering
  • Living as a family

What Veterans Are Seeking:

  • Employment
  • Mentors
  • Permanent housing
  • Vehicles
  • Community
  •
