ANGEL TREE PROGRAM
The Salvation Army Angel Tree program is a uniquely designed "sharing" program that provides a personalized approach for shoppers to provide Christmas gifts to underprivileged children in our community. Gifts collected through this program will be distributed to families who apply for Christmas assistance. A "toy shop" is set up with sorted items and parents are escorted through to pick out items for their children.
The program is very simple:
1.) Take one (or more) Angel Tree Tags.
2.) On the tag will be the age, gender, size and suggestion for gifts for a child. Suggestion for items are only suggestions, please purchase age appropriate gifts for each tag.
3.) Go to the store of your choice and pick out a gift or gifts for each tag. We ask no more than $35.00 is spent on any one tag.
4.) Return the unwrapped gift to where you picked up your tag. All gifts will need to be delivered or picked up by Friday, December 7th to be sorted and displayed at our distribution site.
Once all is said and done, you can go home with a smile on your face...knowing that you helped bring joy to a child through the Angel Tree Program.

TSA-WC and WAAM Talk 1600 Team Up for the Third Annual Angel Tree Toy Drive
The Salvation Army of Washtenaw County (TSA-WC) is teaming up with WAAM Talk 1600 for the third consecutive year to host an Angel Tree toy drive that will benefit Washtenaw County children during the holiday season. The toy drive officially kicked off November 1.
"More than 46,000 people are living below the poverty level in Washtenaw County, so we really appreciae the community's support to help us do our part and spread some joy to families and children this Christmas," said Major John Williams, Washtenaw County Coordinator at TSA-WC.
From November 1 - December 10, 2009, residents can make children's Christmas wishes come true by donating books, board games, hats, gloves, toys and clothes for children newborn through 14 years old. The goal is 1600 toys for 1600 girls and boys, sky's the limit!
